Did you know there are space volcanoes?!
Well, volcanoes on other planets and moons at least. Venus is covered in volcanoes, with over 1,000 have been recorded. Mars has the largest volcano in our solar system, reaching about 14 miles high! Io, one of Jupiter's moons, has some of the more unusual and impressive volcanoes. Jupiter and it's other moon's gravity bends and warps Io, which creates lots of friction inside the moon causing large, super hot eruptions! Enceladus (a moon of Saturn) and Triton (a moon of Neptune) have cryovolcanoes that erupt water and other gasses instead of molten rock! Of course, you know the Earth has volcanoes but did you know the moon does too? They all appear to be dormant now, but the moon was once covered in active volcanoes!
